ALBUM

HERE ARE PICTURES OF THE STUCKYS AND THEIR WORK.

THE FIXER UPPER
This fine Toyota Land Shark is a work in progress!

Here she is all loaded up.

Hey, a Flinstone Mobile!

Most of the mechanical work is done.

Very roomy car we have here with the seats in the front yard!

These Christmas pictures were received January 6, 1999.

Ron and Ranelle flanked by
Ken and Jessica guarding the luggage in the bus depot.
Is 4 hours a long time?
YES!

Joe and Jeanie (Dad and Mom) were happy to welcome the travelers home a week early. The surprise worked.

More pictures for the Album. As Lori tells the tale:

Ken asked me to go into the pump house and get some chlorine for the pool.
I went down barefoot but kind of feeling funny like I should have put shoes on. When I turned on the light, my suspicions were confirmed ....there was a tarantula on the step going into the pump house.
Got Ken's thong, camera, flashlight, alcohol and matches. The flashlight
was to make enough light for the camera to take a picture. The thong was
to kill the beast and the alcohol and matches were to thoroughly destroy
him. There is a poison in their hairs that can burn....I didn't want the
dogs to get hurt.
So here is the beast and the burnt offering that he made. I was just
REALLY glad I hadn't stepped on him and will use my shoes a little more
often from now on!
By the way.....his measurements (after being burned and shriveled up) were
still 3x4 inches. I didn't ask the shoe size.

THE BEAST

THE OFFERING

(Lori doesn't say what Ken was doing without his thong - probably another story all together. Seriously, we are thankful that God watches. Editor.)

THE BWOKEN WOOM

JUST LOOK AT THIS BIG MESS DADDY MADE!

HERE ARE THE LATEST PICTURES OF THE PROJECT (6/6/99)

I am Alicia, and these are my
fine yellow rubber gloves!

Look at the remodeling my Dad is doing
in our house in Mossoró.

AN EXCITING BOOK

I was reading this exciting book
and my chair got so
excited it bucked me off....

It broke my collar bone.
This cast is helping me get well.
I will hang on better next time.

Here are Maria and Maxwell.
(Click above for email messages about these new believers.)

A Trip to the Zoo
(You Can Come Along Too)
Lori and the girls took the summer intern to the Mossoró zoo. This is what they saw. Alicia was most impressed (of all the exotic animals) with the pig.
Jessica had a hard time seeing the aligators in the water.

Hey! Did you see a snake?

Sssssssss...

No snakes over here!

A TRIP THROUGH BRAZIL AND INTO CHILE

Pico de Cabuji
is an extinct volcano a 2-hour drive from the Stucky compound.
One day an excurision was launched at 5AM.

This is Pico de Cabuji from a distance. An easy walk - right? NOT!

Here a bit closer view. Let's see Ken is the photographer - he must be rear guard too!

October 1999 - Ken has been developing concrete panels. These pictures show him and crew using a crane to hoist the panels to the top of a storeroom father Joe built. They plan to use this type of panels for ceilings in the new school buildings and other future projects.

And here are Jessica and Alicia enjoying acerola cherries in the yard.
It's good to see you, girls!
